ASEAN Aims to Host World Cup 2030

Countries in Southeast Asia appears to target the middle to hold the World Cup 2030. Where possible, ASEAN is considering a proposal that the annual event four.

Zainudin Nordin, President of Football Association of Singapore (FAS), said the proposal was made at a meeting of ministers of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) recently.

"It's probably the ASEAN countries co-hosting the World Cup in 20 years, because at that time football across the country in this region will equal the standards of modern football, 'said Nordin, bleak quoted Goal.

"We are optimistic that our football can grow, because each ASEAN country are very aggressive launch a youth player development program," he said.

Volunteered as co-host, still according to Nordin, will increase the profile of football Southeast Asia and brings together citizens of any ASEAN nation.

ASEAN consists of 10 countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

In 2007, four ASEAN countries, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, co-hosting the Asian Cup.

Indonesia also was involved in the nomination process host the 2022 World Cup, but withdrew.

Decision 2030 World Cup host will not be made until a decade later. ASEAN certainly not the only one who will stand, because there will be Argentina and Uruguay, who filed as co-host.
