Dutch soccer legend that launched a surprise statement in the middle breakdown of negotiations between the club with the right wing-back Daniel Alves. Cruyff called Barcelona ready to sell Alves to Manchester City.
"Barca remain a sensational team with or without Dani Alves. Would be better if he was with us? Of course. But, Manchester City are very interested," said Cruyff as reported by the tribal.
"And maybe it's better if you sell it than to wait until his contract runs out next year. Of course, we do not want him to go with free,"said Cruyff.
Manchester City's stronghold has long wanted Alves. But, The Citizens get serious rival of fellow Premier League team, Chelsea.
And the Brazilian wing-back 27-year-old reportedly prefers Chelsea over City. Alves wanted to gather with other great wing defender Ashley commonly fill the left sector.
"If he wants to go, negotiations will be very easy. We'll say: 'Thank you, goodbye and good luck'," said Cruyff.
"It's like the case of Yaya Toure. Guardiola wants Alves to survive, as well as to Toure. But, what exactly happened unwanted," lid Cruyff.
