Referee World Cup Confessing to smuggle Heroin

2002 World Cup referee, Byron Moreno claimed to have smuggled heroin from Ecuador to the United States in September 2010. Now, Moreno could face jail for 5 years and 3 months.
As reported by Sports Illustrated, the confession was delivered Moreno attorney spokesman, Robert Nardoza, Friday, January 14, 2011. Moreno was arrested as he entered the John F Kennedy International Airport, the U.S. in September last.
