German opponent, Prandelli Call Two debutants

Italian national team coach Cesare Prandelli has chosen 23 players that will be brought to trial to face Germany in the match, Wednesday, February 9, 2011.

Prandelli gives the opportunity to Sebastian Giovinco (Parma) and Alessandro Matri, who scored twice when topple Cagliari Juventus 3-1, Saturday, February 5, 2011, to make his debut with the Italian senior national team.

Inter Milan's Brazilian-born midfielder Thiago Motta, also will be brought Prandelli to Dortmund, Germany. Motta, however not necessarily be played because until now has not received permission to play from FIFA since naturalized Italian national team.

Juventus veteran goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, Prandelli was called back after missing the World Cup since 2010 due to a back injury. Christian Maggio (Napoli) and AS Roma striker Marco Borriello was called Prandelli. Unfortunately, Italy will be without veteran midfielder Andrea Pirlo who is still struggling with a hamstring injury.
