Unexpectedly, successfully overthrew the host Wolves at Molineux Red Devil Stadium with a thin score 2-1. This is a surprise considering the Wolves currently listed as occupants bottom of the table. Note 29 times undefeated United in the league finally had to stop.
United had started the fight with a convincing after Luis Nani scored the opening goal after just three minutes walk. But United had to swallow defeat after the Wolves managed to score two goals by George Elokobi (10 ') and Kevi Doyle (40').
In response to that defeat, Chelsea boss Sir Alex Ferguson had a review of its own. According to him, the key to conquering Wolves team of cleverness lies in exploiting the opponent dead balls.
"I am disappointed because this is actually a long record for us. But what has made the players have made us all proud," said Ferguson told ESPN, Week 6 Februrari 2011.
"I have said before the game, they are very good at set-pieces as they showed today,"continued the manager of Scottish origin.
Wolves which saw two goals created through balls off, certainly the absence of defender Rio Ferdinand to be vital for the Red Devil. British tall defender has to be sidelined several weeks with a thigh injury during training.
But Ferguson insisted that the defeat did not make the concentration of his forces dispersed. Ferguson remains confident Manchester United will be able to reach his 19th this season.
