Indonesia direct to Round 2 World Cup 2014

Indonesia is included in the team that was seeded second at the World Cup 2014 qualification. The national team of Red and White are just starting the struggle towards Brazil in the second round.

From the Asian Zone qualifying format, which was launched Asian Football Federation (AFC) on their official website, Wednesday, March 23, 2011, Indonesia joined together with 22 team that is seeded second. The five seeded teams in the first position, while 16 teams are seeded third.

The struggle to win four automatic tickets in the World Cup 2014 and a playoff tickets will begin on June 29 and July 3, 2011. In this first round, 16 teams in the top-seeded will meet each other home and away.

Eight teams in the first round winners will join 22 seeded teams in the second, including Indonesia, to fight in the second round. The 30 teams meet in home and away games on July 23 and July 28, 2011.

Then, 15 winning teams will join five top-seeded team. The 20 teams will be divided into five groups containing four teams in the third round. The match in the third round will take place from 2 September 2011 until February 9, 2012.

Two top teams from group stage in the third round will advance to the fourth round. 10 teams will be re-divided into two groups containing five teams. Two top teams in each group are entitled to four tickets at the World Cup 2014.

If Japan advanced to the fourth round, they will be placed in fifth position in his group for not playing on June 18, 2013 to facilitate the participation of Blue Samurai teams in Konfederesi Cup in Brazil in the 16 to 30 June 2013.

Two teams in the third position in the fourth round will meet each other in the fifth round in order to get a ticket through the inter-continental playoff.

Drawing for the first round will be conducted March 30, 2011. Ranking seeded itself taken on the basis of the ranking of participation in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers and the 2011 Asian Cup.
