Real Madrid continued preparing for Saturday's match against Hercules with a practice match against Castilla. Khedira rejoined the squad having recovered from a Grade II tear to his psoas muscle, while Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Arbeloa, Gago, Garay, Higuain, Carvalho and Pedro Leon did not participate.

Jose Mourinho held a practice match against Real Madrid Castilla on Wednesday in preparation for this weekend's showdown against Levante. Mejia Davila officiated the match, which had Miguel Pardeza as an onlooker.

Albiol, Khedira, Lass, Granero, Canales and Adebayor were included in the first team's starting eleven and were joined by Morata, Casado, Carvajal and Juanan. Castilla, meanwhile, saw Juanfran, Goni, Pablo Gil, Luis Hernandez, Alex Fernandez, Martinez, Denis, Juan Carlos, Ruben Ramos and Joselu start.

Seven of last Sunday's starters against Racing trained at a lighter pace. Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo, Xabi Alonso, Ozil, Di Maria and Benzema, as well as the academy's Nacho worked out under the orders of Rui Faria. Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Arbeloa, Gago, Garay, Higuain, Carvalho and Pedro Leon did not participate, while Casillas, Dudek and Adan trained in solitary with goalkeeper coach Silvino Louro.
