Persebaya 1927 Disconnect Lawsuit to Nurdin Halid

Central Jakarta District Court granted the termination lawsuit filed to the ex PSSI chairman, Nurdin Halid. The lawsuit was filed by the board Persebaya.
"Dropping the stipulation, the lawsuit Saleh Iskandar Mukadar cs weigh opponent Nurdin, the plaintiff withdraw its lawsuit, and defendant has not filed an answer, the defendant does not need permission. Application for revocation by the plaintiff we turn down," said Chief Judge District, Noer Ali at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday, April 11, 2011.

Meanwhile, plaintiff's attorney Harjon Sinaga said, the reason for revocation of the lawsuit because, at present the function and role as caretaker PSSI defendant had been decided by FIFA with the normalization committee.

That way, the current phase of the lawsuit that the new entry in the mediation process must be stopped. "We have applied for withdrawal of the lawsuit, then the mediation no longer need to be done," said Harjon which met after the hearing.

Previously, Nurdin Halid was sued in civil law by a group claiming to be a lover of football. They asked Nurdin resign from office because they have violated Regulation No. 16 year 2007 on the System of National Sport.

"There (PP) is determined if the Chairman of the organization has been running the jail who have permanent legal force, then he must be replaced. As he was convicted of corruption," said Harjon.

According Harjon, five people who became plaintiffs is a Persebaya 1927, namely Saleh Iskandar Mukadar, Tondo Widodo, John Lewis, Abubakar Assegaf, and Sumaryoto. "Plaintiffs are football lovers who feel disadvantaged by the status of Nurdin," he explained.

The plaintiffs assess Nurdin violated Regulation No. 16 year 2007 on the national sports system. In Government Regulation was mentioned when the Chairman of the Organization has already run imprisonment permanent legal force, then he must be replaced.

Nurdin Halid was declared guilty of several cases such as sugar imports and customs clearance of imported sugar. In September 2007 the Supreme Court sentenced Nurdin with two-year prison sentence that canceled the South Jakarta District Court on 16 June 2005.
