Thank you fans!

It was a little after 23:00 when Undiano Mallenco blew the final whistle and Real Madrid were crowned champions of the Copa del  Rey. A title that had a lot to do with the support of an exceptional fan base. Thanks to messages sent to Realmadrid.com from Valencia, Madrid and every corner of the globe, the team felt the care and support of Madridismo at all times en route to glory.

Real Madrid immediately knew that they wouldn't be alone as 1,500 fans greeted them at the Valencia airport. Supporters sprawled out all across the city during the day of the match; from the Fan Zone that hosted thousands to team's hotel to Mestalla. Meanwhile, more than 2,500 Madridistas expressed their support through Realmadrid.com.

The festivities that took place throughout the day extended well into the match. Decked out in their best Madridista garb and holding a giant banner reading "Hasta el final, vamos Real" (Until the very end, Real) fans witnessed a sensational match won by Cristiano Ronaldo in extra time. The Cup was coming back to Madrid, and a massive party awaited at Cibeles.

The Madridista fountain was transformed into a point of pilgrimage for more than 150,000 fans who wanted to celebrate the title alongside their heroes. Supporterts waited over four hours for Casillas to drape a Real Madrid scarf and flag around their Goddess. No major incidents took place in what was a civil and festive atmosphere.
