Ex Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Oliver Kahn assess price Schalke 04 goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was too expensive. Therefore, Kahn's request not to the wishes of his former club Schalke.
Neuer is a major target for Munich this season. But Schalke would not be willing to release these 25 years goalkeeper without a dowry of 20 million euros. The price was considered unrealistic by Kahn's given remaining contract the goalkeeper.
"They want to get a very good goalkeeper. But pay for it for the players to be free status by 2012 would be too expensive," said Kahn told Bild, Friday, May 20, 2011.
Neuer itself is Germany's number one goalkeeper who previously owned the old Kahn. In addition to Munich, Schalke goalkeeper mainstay is also interested in the elite Premier League club, Manchester United. Neuer is projected to become the successor to Edwin van der Sar, who decided to retire.
Previously, Kahn would recommend Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon as his successor in Munich.
