Indonesia national team's 19 players to face Turkmenistan in the Pre World Cup 2014 has been selected. Boaz Solossa who recently joined Merah Putih Team will be brought to Ashgabat today.
The announcement 19 player name was made assistant coach Rahmat Darmawan at Kartika Chandra Hotel, Jakarta, Monday, July 18, 2011 afternoon. Of the 19 name of the player, the Rahmad admitted should have goalkeeper Kurnia Meiga and defender Hamka Hamzah in the squad.
"But at the last moment, Kurnia Meiga have a fever. While Hamka foot infection which doctors predicted would not recover in three days," Rahmat said in a press conference.
Persipura Jayapura Striker, Boaz Solossa will remain a mainstay of the Merah Putih team despite only joined yesterday. Rahmad admitted Boaz showed an impressive quality in just one game.
"Boaz show good quality in this exercise. He is one of Indonesia's best players, the assets must be maintained. In addition, even though it comes late, Boaz had shown willingness to defend the national team called me since last Friday," said Rahmat.
Thus there are six players who will be left in Jakarta. Besides Kurnia Meiga and Hamka, there Gunawan Cahyo Dwi, Ferdinand Sinaga, Egi Melgiansyah and Beny Wahyudi.
"While in Jakarta, they continue to train with the coaching staff, Widodo Cahyono Putro and Aji Santoso," said Rahmat.
