Winner Champions League Receive Prize Rp682 Billion

JAC Sport, Switzerland - Prizes for the Champions League 2011/2012 season will be the same as last year. Club winners of this competition will reach a total prize of 50 million pounds, or Rp682 billion.

Certainty about the nominal value of this prize has been announced officially by the highest authority of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). For any club that fails to qualify for the knockout phase will remain pocketed pay 22.5 million pounds, or Rp307 billion more.

Details, for the 32 teams that competed in the group stage will receive the money the participation of 3.9 million euros and 550 thousand euros for each match. For the winning team group stage match in phase would be awarded 800 thousand euros. If it ends in a draw, each team will receive 400 thousand.

Teams that qualify for the round of 16 will again receive an additional prize of 3 million euros. Then, eight will receive 3.3 million euros and the semifinalists will each receive 4.2 million euros.

For the Champions League final, the winner will receive a fee of 9 million euros. While the runner up will receive a fee of 5.6 million euros.


Each club will also be given additional payments related to television rights. But the nominal will be determined through agreements with television is concerned in their respective countries.

Last season, Chelsea became the club's most lots pocketed fees from broadcasting rights which is valued at 23 million pounds, or Rp437 billion more.
