Gerard Pique reminded his colleagues to remain vigilant against the threat of Real Madrid. Despite last week's victory over Villarreal make Barcelona now eight points ahead.
Blaugrana leave the 'far' Madrid after goal Pique to wicket Yellow Submarine succes to secure three points. Ironically, Madrid actually lost 0-1 to Sporting Gijon.
"We have been doing something important. Eight points is a lot but we still have not secured the title," Pique said as reported by Tribal.
"The Madrid defeat became a surprise because they really did not deserve to lose point. But we suffered the first defeat at home of Hercules and everything can happen," he added.
With eight games remaining, Barcelona is not 100 percent safe. But seeing the consistency that the team made by Josep Guardiola has shown this, certainly deserve when Real Madrid started pessimist camp.
Kubu Madrid itself was already throwing the towel following the defeat of Gijon. Even the entrenador Jose Mourinho has admitted it is impossible Los Blancos will be able to gain the title this season.
