Barcelona Debt Reaches Rp 4, 3 Trillion

JAC Sport, Barcelona - Despite winning the Champions League last season and dare to spend up to 60 million euros to buy players this season, Barcelona's financial condition was not stable. Blaugrana still have a very large debt.

Last season the club announced that Barcelona Catalonia still has debts amounting to 430 million euros, or around Rp 5, 1 trillion. Although reduced, Vice President of Finance Barcelona Javier Faus assess his side still have to work hard for financial affairs.

This season Barcelona dare to spend up to 60 million euros or the equivalent of Rp722 billion to bring in top players like Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez.

A number of players such as Bojan Krkic, Oriol Romeu and Jeffren Suarez then sold to offset expenses. However, Faus ensure Barcelona's debt is still very large, ie 364 million euros or equivalent to Rp 4, 3 trillion.

"We reduce debt up to 15 percent, but we're still in a difficult position. Debt is still very big for us to dictate the future. This is not a debt that we want, we must reduce it," Faus said through the official club website.

"We can not owe to the bank so much. We have to start getting more revenue," continued Faus.
