Wim: Indonesia worth for Defeat

Indonesia national team coach, Wim Rijsbergen assess its current squad is not worth playing at international level following the defeat from Bahrain at the Pre 2014 World Cup match, Tuesday, September 6, 2011.

Indonesia can not do much at home when against Bahrain in advanced Pre 2014 World Cup Round III in Group E at Bung Karno Stadium. Boaz Solossa and comrades defeat 2-0 in the game.

After the game, Wim insisted he could accept this defeat. The reason, the Dutchman had to assess the current squad are not worth playing at international level.

"I apologize for this defeat. We must accept this defeat, because the player is easy to lose the ball even if only a little pressure from opponents. The point is Indonesia deserved to lose," Wim said in a press conference after the match.

"I had to find players who are fresher, to raise the level of play. The team is not worth playing at international level," continued the Dutchman's architect.

Although re-defeat, Wim remain optimistic about the chances of Indonesia in Group E. Ex PSM Makassar coach assess Indonesia can still win at home to Qatar, 11 October.

"Indonesia opportunities is still there. We hope against Qatar at home can reap three points. The important thing is to correct his own mistakes. We've lost the basics of football in the match before," said Wim.
