Malaysia and Singapore Ready for Combat

JAC Sport, Jakarta - SEA Games champions last year, Malaysia, will open the inaugural match of Group A against Singapore at the Bung Karno Stadium on Monday afternoon, November 7, 2011. This game is guaranteed to exciting because both teams are both aiming for victory.

As champions last year, Malaysia will obviously trying desperately to defend their title. However, it is not easy because they are incorporated in the group of death along with Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Cambodia.

Singapore will be the first hurdle for the Harimau  Malaya, "We are ready with the existing squad. We've been doing warm-up in Vietnam. We are ready to take the fight against Singapore tomorrow. Thursday hoping to reach the first point," said Manager of Malaysia, Datuk Hanmidin.

Singapore has also prepared an all-out in this fight. The team was nicknamed The Lions have brought the best players who mostly play in S. League.


"Our players are all ready. We brought a lot of players from the Young Lion (local club in Singapore). We focus on four teams, not just focus on Malaysia. But we sure can win against Malaysia," said Assistant Manager Singapore, Ashriq Idris.

Based on historical records of the meeting, Malaysia and Singapore have met 57 times. Harimau Malaya is a success so far achieved 19 victories, while Singaporean get 17 wins. The remaining 21 other games end in a draw. (sources : vivanews.com and google.com)
